Disoriented

Remembering Madrid, slogging in Frankfurt, planning for Lisbon, longing for Cal while Billy J sings about Havana … in the split second between waking and wakefulness, “Where am I” morphs into “Who am I”.

In my experience both at the same time. At least the former will be answered when you touch down in Cal.

I know the feeling all too well. So glad your lovely long posts are back!

right. a little more and you'd have found that the answer to the first question is readily available from flight attendants and television monitors at the gate; the answer to the second question is itself.

I guess, thats why they say traveling is like falling in love, you don't know, who you are, you don't know where you are or what you are doing, you don't know what your name is ....... and hopefully, you are still smiling!

Deepak, both at the same time is utter disorientation. There's a lot in the Hitchhiker's Guide about this condition.

Prerona, look on the up-side - all the places you've come to know.

30, tell us how you know the feeling. (And this is a long post? What are you trying to tell me?)

T Rasa, you stand alone, out-topping knowledge.

Blue dot, long time since I fell in love, but you may be right.

I kind of agree with blue dot. Which is why I can't see myself doing anything that does not involve travel.
