Hi! Just wanted to point out that Randy Pausch's awesome lecture is available in one 100-minute video; in addition to the lecture, it also has some pre- and pos-lecture presentations by others.
All of it, as you rightly pointed out, is absolutely stirring stuff. And so moving, too.
he is a professor at my school. i was turned away by the security guards because of a heavy audience on that day; however, managed to watch it live on TV. the whole thing is extraordinary and fortunately, this entire school is an embodiment of the energy this guy represents.
a brilliant lecture by a brilliant man. i do feel mildly sorry for dr. pausch though, what with all the memorial awards and monuments and footbridges and whatnot that are being instituted in his name. doctors gave him approximately 6 months of good health, which means he's still got some way to go. i find it quite morbid that they're turning him into some sort of an epitaph in his own honour while he's still living. the intentions are good, but the end result is rather tasteless...
