... from the pale downtrodden

And the words that they say that we won't understand.

Don't pretend that what's happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or you'll find that you're joining in
The turning away.

  2. The last few lines are great:
...No more turning away from the weak and the weary
No more turning away from the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share,
it's not enough just to stand and stare

PS: What was the context? Delhi blasts?

  3. Really - what was the context? (Useless personal twist: This is a song I associate with 2 friends and the oh-my-god-ISC-begins-in-5-days period... strange, na, how specific songs bring up specific memories, sharp and tangy and so clear you're almost back in the moment.)
A while since I've visited - settling in takes more out of me than expected, but I shall return (that sounds vaguely like a threat, make of it what you will).

  4. Dude! it's "Wednesday Morning, 3AM". No, wait, wrong album, wrong band.

Blog-posts with vaguely ominous Floyd lyrics are scary at sooooo many levels, JAPda.

  7. Our inbox wails in emptiness
Our hearts sink to our toes
Oh whither is our old wordsmith
    Walled in? Coccooned? Who knows!

That we are sitting writing verse
Just shows HOW bored we are
You've not posted in *ages* now
    and nothing rhymes with 'are'*.

*(except for bar, car, far, jar, mar, tar, (and not really, no) war, czar)

    *deep sigh*

This is why we should stick with prose.

    Come BACK already!

    *nervous twitch*

  8. Err...sorry!

For being completely inconsiderate and irreverent.

We just realised (on re-reading the post) that you're probably not too happy about certain things.

    So err..yes, sorry.
